Mission: To strengthen the Cal Opportunity Scholarship by providing an academic support group on campus for its recipients. To work with the Undergraduate Scholarship office in the recruitment of new scholars through the Outreach Program. To provide members with the opportunity for social interaction with other members, students, and faculty. To provide community service by mentoring incoming scholars.

As some of you may know, The Berkeley Project is coming up and Registration has just started today (literally, 9/11 @12:00am)
In a nutshell, It's basically a day where a whole ton of people come together and do community service around the Berkeley area. COSA will be registering as a team and if anyone is interested in doing it, let us know at CalOppScholars@gmail.com

Fall 2009 Upcoming Events!
Discount Night will be on Mon Aug 24th and Tues Aug 25th, so mark your calendars. It is an event where scholars can get a 10% discount on used textbooks and additional discounts of other items in the store.
2. COSA Fall Kick Off Event (Sat. Aug 29)
The COSA Welcome/Kick Off Event is Sat Aug 29th from 11-2pm at Willard Park. There will be free food, fun games, and of course prizes! This will be a great chance to have fun and to meet your fellow scholars!
