Study Jam Part II + Yay, Care Packages!!!

We can't believe that the semester is almost over! With finals just around the corner, we'd like to help you get prepared (just a bit). Drop by this Thursday to get your FREE care package* filled with snacks, testing supplies, etc etc and love! <-- Cheesy but true. 

And if you've got the time, stay to chill (and/or study) with your fellow COSA peeps. 

*We're sorry to say that there may only be a limited number of packages. We will keep you posted.

Nov. 16th Events: Movie Night & Family Karaoke Night!

COSA will be holding two fun socials the night of Tues. Nov. 16th:

Movie Night:

Need a little break from schoolwork? A laugh perhaps? Then join us for our movie night next Tuesday the 16th! The movie will be a comedy (more details to come)

Karaoke Night:

Share your beautiful singing voice and join COSA for a night of karaoke fun! If you enjoy belting out classic-rock ballads, contemporary pop tunes, or anything in-between, come out to this event! 

AND...this place is right across from the Durant Food Court, so we can all grab boba drinks to enjoy while we sing! Nothing says fun like KARAOKE + BOBA (:

COSA STUDY JAM! (Wednesday, November 10 · 7:00pm - 10:00pm) @ the SLC

We have this Thursday off due to Veteran's Day, but if you know you want to get some studying done (whether due to midterms, partying/chilling on your day off, studying for fun...etc!) join COSA for our 1st study jam of this semester! People had great time in previous years, so we are providing a space for everyone to... come study in groups/individually, eat our FREE snacks, chill, study! We'll have DONUTS, cookies, chips, maybe some fruit... typical college food =]

You can drop by anytime, and bring your friends!!!

And if you're looking for past tests, feel free to ask at the jam (or email) and see what we have in our test bank.

What: COSA Study Jam!

Where: SLC

When: Wednesday, November 10 · 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Why: To get some studying done, hang out with your fellow Cal Opp scholars and FREE SNACKS!

Social Event: COSA Campus Scavenger Hunt! (Friday, October 15, 2010, from 5pm-7pm)

Come out to the second Cal-Opp social of the year: Cal Campus Scavenger Hunt and Yogurtland (FOR FREE!!)

This is a great chance to get to explore the campus, hang with your fellow COSA peers, and just chill on a Friday afternoon.

When: Friday, October 15, 2010 (from 5pm-7pm)

Where: Meet at Upper Sproul Fountain

Why: To have some fun and show your family competitiveness. If you're not in a family no need to fear--the Upper Classmen Family is here!!

Big "C" Hike Rescheduled! (Thurs. Sept. 23)

Due to schedule conflicts, we had to postpone our very first Big C Hike, so if you weren’t able to make it to the original date, make sure to pencil this new date in (THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd) and come out!!

Begin your weekend with some FUN! If you didn’t know, the Big C is literally a big block that’s shaped as a letter “C” located on the Berkeley hills near campus. At the top, you’ll be able to see a GORGEOUS VIEW of the city an...d campus! Hiking up to the Big C is a UC Berkeley tradition so you don’t want to miss out. We’ll be leaving at 6:10pm sharp to make it on time to watch the beautiful sunset! It’s a short hike and a great mini workout, as well as a great opportunity to bond with your
fellow COSA peers. ☺

Breakdown of event:
What: BIG C HIKE!
Why: -Because it’s a MUST-DO tradition in Berkeley!
-To see a GORGEOUS view of the city & campus!
-To catch an amazing view of the beautiful SUNSET!

Hey scholars! We are holding our first ever Big C Hike!!! If you didn’t know, the Big C is literally a big block that’s shaped as a letter “C” located on the Berkeley hills near campus. At the top, you’ll be able to see a gorgeous view of campus and the city. It’s a hike but it’s a great mini workout, as well as a great opportunity to bond with your fellow COSA scholars!

When: Wednesday Sept. 15 from approx. 6:00-8:30

Where to meet: At Sproul Fountain (located near Sproul Hall and the Cal student store)

What to wear: Comfortable casual clothes that you can hike in, as well as a sweater for it might get chilly at the top! (*We will be providing water bottles*)

What to bring: Yourself, friends, and an open mind!
