Hey scholars!
For those of you considering Cal in the Capital but afraid that you may not be able to afford it, J. Christopher Stevens Public Service Fellows is an award for students with financial need pursuing internships in public service and foreign affairs.
Details:
- Stevens Scholars will participate in a structured program of training, education and internship opportunities in public service and foreign affairs.
- The awards will be distributed through UC Berkeley’s nationally recognized Cal Corps Public Service Center, one of the largest public service centers in the nation, serving over 6,000 students a year.
- Students who receive the Stevens Award will collaborate with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomat in Residence, who is located in UC Berkeley’s Career Center.
- The Scholars will support the Ambassador’s efforts to identify Cal students who are interested in Foreign and Civic Service careers, and they will also organize an annual "Public Service Career Networking Event" that will bring together approximately 125 students with a wide range of alumni/friends of Cal who serve in the public service arena.
